Heroes of Tripe 2014: The Results!

The Tripe Marketing Board has published the results of last nights' Heroes of Tripe Awards (or the HOTTYS, as they are popularly called).

Announcing the results at the event in Bolton, Tripe Marketing Board chairman Sir Norman Wrassle said: "All of the nominees have, in their own way, contributed to promoting tripe over the last 12 months. There's no shame in being second or third in these awards.  Thanks to their help, sales of tripe have undoubtedly increased during 2014, and we can be confident that 2015 will be the Year of Tripe.  If it isn't, then I'm pretty certain 2016 will be".

Over 700 votes were cast in this year's HOTTYS.  In a subsidiary question asked of respondents to the poll, the Tripe Marketing Board 2015 Diary was voted funniest meat-based diary of the year - despite the fact that it only came second in the European Meat & Offal Producers' Convention Awards earlier this month.  "We think our poll was much more representative and that our 2015 Diary is the 'People's Choice', whatever our friends in Switzerland think!" Sir Norman said.
