TMB will "learn lessons" from 2014 says chairman

Tripe lovers have been urged not to 'panic buy' today as the traditional pre-Christmas Day shopping frenzy comes to its head.

Sir Norman Wrassle
Tripe Marketing Board chairman Sir Norman Wrassle said: "If people remain calm, there will be more than enough tripe to go round".  He reminded consumers that most shops were closed for only 24 hours over Christmas and that tripe could be kept perfectly fresh for such a brief period.

Speaking from his holiday home in Marbella, Sir Norman went on to re-assure people that the TMB constantly monitored demand for tripe and would take active measures to intervene if stocks became low.  "There's no doubt that more people than at any time since 1971 will be enjoying tripe this Christmas. We await the 3rd quarter sales figures with interest - if sales of our 2015 Diary are used as an indicator for tripe consumption over the past few weeks, I look forward to reporting some positive news early in January."

TMB Books sold out of its entire stock of 2015 Diaries within five weeks, leaving disappointed customers no option but to purchase copies from Amazon. Sir Norman said the TMB would be learning the lessons for future years.  "Perhaps with a little more foresight, we could have raised more for our Christmas charity, the MS Society.  As it is, 85p from every copy sold on Amazon will go to them, so there's a chance our total of £210 already raised will increase a little more over the days ahead."
