Tripe Marketing Board chairman Sir Norman Wrassle has brushed aside suggestions that the Royal Family has snubbed the tripe industry by not inviting him to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle which takes place at Windsor later today.
"I don't see this as some sort of anti-tripe statement by the Royals. Lots of other dignitaries weren't invited, so this shouldn't be interpreted as a snub," he said. Sir Norman was responding to comments made on social media that his failure to secure an invite indicated that tripe was being overlooked.
"I haven't had sight of the full guest list, but I'd be surprised if anyone from British Spleen or the UK Liver Council were there," Sir Norman said, adding "In any case, I have a longstanding engagement with the Garstang Ladies League this afternoon and this would always have taken precedent, even if I had received an invite to Windsor."
